Step 1: Gate valve leakage. The energy consumption accounting of the device is the same as that of yesterday. If the yield decreases, besides eliminating the causes of process and instrumentation, it is preliminary judged that there may be internal leakage of gate valve, resulting in higher energy consumption.
The second step: thermometer detection "indispensable". Gate valve leakage, adjacent follow-up pipelines through the thermometer detection temperature will be significantly increased or decreased.
Step 3: We check and judge the internal leakage of gate valve through the first and second steps, but it can not be fully confirmed. At this time, "stethoscope" detection is very important. Choose the screwdriver as a stethoscope. Vertical to the pipeline at one end of the screwdriver and close to your ears at the other end. Listen carefully for the abnormal sound of "stings" in the pipeline. If so, you can judge the leakage of the gate valve.
According to these three steps, basically can accurately determine whether the gate valve leakage!
The method to determine the internal leakage of the valve is to use infrared thermometer to measure the metal temperature of the stem (near the valve body) or 150 mm downstream of the valve body after closing the valve for 4-6 hours. If the temperature is greater than 70 C, it will be considered as "internal leakage". This method of judgment is applicable to most internal leakage valves. Some valves also need to use other methods to determine the internal leakage according to the specific situation.
